Relieve Achy Feet With Arch Insoles

By Phyllis Schroeder

Although very often neglected, the feet are one of the most important parts of the body. Consider their job, and how they take people everywhere they must go. The only time they are given the attention they need is when people feel foot pain. If this area of the body hurts, it will affect the individual on the whole. So, relieve tired feet with arch insoles.

Let's look at the importance of the foot, as it's the foundation of the skeletal system. It carries the entire weight of the body, and anything else the individual would carry. Some would say that they are much like's shock absorbers, so they need some extra help that come from insoles. These would in turn reduce any foot strain, providing the individual the necessary support and increased stability.

All one needs is the right pair to stimulate the feet through increased blood circulation. The supports will also help to improve body posture, which is a common problem among the population. This problem exists whether the individual has flat feet, or neutral or high arches.

Anything can cause an imbalance that stresses the other joints, from the shape of the arch or lack thereof, to the type of shoes one wears. The added support will reduce the stress caused to these joints, from the ankles to the hips. They can even reduce pressure on the lower back.

Another problem that many experience is known as Plantar Fasciitis. This is the stretching of the tendon that runs from the heel to the end of the foot causing great pain to sufferers. For most, it feels like a heel spur, with the pain being felt as soon as the individual stands up after resting their feet or sleeping through the night.

There are many such supports available, suitable to any style shoe. Also, it's important for those who wear athletic shoes to understand that they too can cause imbalance and lead to foot pain. As such, anyone can benefit from the proper support that's firm yet soft enough to contour with each step.

Also, as a consumer, one can choose a set that can be placed into any pairs of shoes they own. Alternatively, one can make the investment toward inserting them permanently in each pair of shoes. It all depends on one's budget and preference.

In essence, the cushion will relieve much of the pain without allowing any pressure to be added to any part of the foot. Along with using these special supports, it's important to treat feet regularly. Try soaking them nightly in the solution of warm water and Epsom salts. Remove dead skin using a pumice stone after the soak. Once they are completely dry, apply a good moisturizer to keep them hydrated.

From there, treat feet to a massage as well. Try either manual massage or use a foot massage machine. There are a number of them available in stores and online. Alternatives include wooden rollers that relieve stress and stimulate feet through relaxing the muscles. This can be done whenever you're relaxing, reading or watching a favorite TV show.

  1. By the end of the day, my feet are so sore! After reading this, I think I need to reconsider my shoe choice. Usually, I go with comfort, and grab what ever is the most comfortable, Usually, that ends up being flip flops. I think if I wore athletic shoes, like running shoes, my feet wouldn't be so achy at the end of the day.
