The Annapolis Baseball Camp Is A Hit

By Antoinette Quinn

There is nothing better than the feeling a child gets from a big win on the baseball field. Actually, the sport does not matter. What does matter is the lessons learned by the child who fights for a win, does it with class, respects the game and his opponents. This and many more life lessons are gained when they attend an Annapolis Baseball Camp.

There are a lot of things that kids can learn from team sports. They teach discipline, hard work, working with others, following the rules and other people, and other traits as well. They learn a lot from these teams and the coaches involved. While that is all well and good, they get a little extra from the experience if they attend a camp at least once.

They are not just retreats where the kids do nothing but drill all the time, day and night. They have a chance to meet new people and learn from seasoned professionals. Every session will host a different player from some level of the professional ranks. The experience they can get from just being around some of these guys is unforgettable.

All of this is all great and any place would be thrilled to be able to boast such things. At Annapolis Baseball Camp however these are just the added bonus. The main attraction is and always shall be the baseball experience. They have all top of the line equipment and fields. Indoor fields and training centers are also available in case the weather does not cooperate.

Sports have always been a great way for kids to learn valuable life lessons. They can learn leadership, how to follow a leader, patience, modesty, teamwork, discipline and various other traits that will all come in handy during their life. There are scores of people who attribute their character to time spent as a kid playing baseball or some other sport.

It is always recommended that youth ball players get the chance to attend at least one of these before they either stop playing. There is no age restriction for these except for the fact that playing age is of course recommended. Whether your child is playing in-house ball for the park district or plays with the local travel teams does not matter.

The professional players that spend time at the camps are all active players or recently retired. They have all played at a professional level and know what it takes to get there. They answer their questions, help them with drills, and are available for the children to learn from the entire time they are there. They all love this chance to work with the children.

The Annapolis Baseball Camp is something that should not be passed on should the opportunity exist. If the admittance cost is an issue there are always scholarships available through local townships, schools, or park districts. They all understand the importance of such experiences and will usually do whatever they can do to help a child in need.
