By Essie Osborn

When you make a body wrap, the fist thing that you must bear in mind is to take time in the preparation. This step would include your time for shopping of the necessary products to use. This might even last up to few days and do not make this on the last minute.

You would not have to buy the ready made ones but you can certainly make your own. Spa heat wraps would primarily need rolls of elastic bandages which come in various sizes. They are already available in drug stores or you may order them from medical supply companies and an average adult would need fifteen rolls.

The next matter that you should know about is that it would be best if you would use some large safety pins because they will make your work faster. The bandages already include in them clips which can be used also in fastening. You can obtain the pins in a store or you may already have those in the sewing kit.

Moreover, you would also need to buy the solution or if you want to, you can formulate your own and start by knowing the necessary ingredients. Most of these would depend on your aroma therapeutic preferences. You will also be able to adjust the contents based on what you want or your needs if you make your own.

One more thing that you should be informed about is that you must also have a PVC suit that is used for working out which can be bought in stores for sporting goods. This is not very pricey and its material is rubber like which is effective in promoting sweating. This is not among those sweat suits which are made of fleece but this is secured by strings or velcro too.

Then, you should also be turning on the heater inside your home or if you will be applying the pieces in the bathroom, you can bring a small portable heater. This would be helpful in keeping you from feeling chilly during the application. You should also make sure that there will be no drafts in the room.

It would then be the right time to then be time for you to gather up all the tools for wrapping in order to set them up and you can also get a handy book for reading. You may preoccupy yourself with reading while you wait. You may then be ready to mix your solutions and use the hot water from the tap.

When you pour the solution into an ice chest or a bucket, it would be at a level which allows it to have the bandages soaked. Adjusting the temperature might also be necessary to avoid burning your skin or you may add cool water into the solution. Do not remove them until they have absorbed the solution.

Furthermore, wrapping these on your body should be tight enough but not too much to impede blood circulation. In applying on your legs, start with one leg and then end on the knee and do this with the other leg too. Be sure that no skin will be left exposed.
